Sidewalk Sale May 17

The Springtime Sidewalk Sale is a town-wide event to raise awareness of the local shops and businesses that are right here in Winthrop. Shop at our stores, use our services, and enjoy our town in the spring!
Participating Chamber Members will be showing off their wares in front of their locations using signage, table tops, and other displays. Non-retail businesses are invited to participate by advertising special discounts or offers, and/or set up a table in French Square to have flyers, information, giveaways, raffles, etc.

As part of this sales event, from May 12-16 (Mon-Fri) all Chamber Gift Certificates will be on sale for 10% off!  Good at over 50 local businesses, the gift certificates are perfect for any occasion.  They can be purchased at Woodside Ace Hardware, Winthrop MarketPlace, or the Winthrop Chamber of Commerce.

There will be other activities that day as well, including the popular “Touch-A-Truck” event for kids from 9 am - 11 am at the Cummings School semi-circle. From “Pirates of the Caribbean”, Captain Jack Sparrow will make his way all over town throughout the day for free photos.
Once again, this year we will be playing “BIZGO”! The flyer will have a game card on one side with all the participating businesses on it. Each customer will get their “BIZGO” card stamped as they shop in the participating business. When a customer makes a purchase or transaction they get a stamp. Once they accumulate three stamps they are entered into the prize drawing for a $500 Winthrop shopping spree.

See you on the sidewalk Saturday, May 17th!

Jackpot Dinner a Fun Raiser

Thank you to all those who bought tickets to last Friday's $15,000 Jackpot Raffle. Not only the Chamber's major fundraiser for the year, it was also a really fun time. This year the grand prize was split at the final five mark: congratulations to Mary Ann Lucerto, Barbara Fournier, Susan Freedland, Dr. Paul McGee, and Sen. Anthony Petruccelli! The consolation raffle for $1,000 cash was won by Jim & Joan Kaiser. Don't miss out on all the fun and excitement next year!
